2023 Nissan Altima debuts with new grille and larger infotainment

The 2023 Nissan Altima has released sporting subtle visual tweaks and upgraded technology with a larger infotainment touchscreen in search of the desired and relative stay in our SUV-flagship world.

As indicated by our previous spy shots, the facelifted Ultima is distinguished from its predecessor by the redesigned V-Motion Grill, which features a black-chrome treatment in the illustrated SR grade. The grille looks simpler and integrates the new Nissan symbol with the rest of the range.

The sporty looks are enhanced by standard LED headlights (US will not get the new LED taillights seen in China) and the new 19-inch alloy wheel design (17-inch for SV). For 2023, Nissan is offering two new exterior shades – Gray Sky Pearl and Garnet Pearl Metallic – and an optional single-panel moonroof.

Internal updates focus on the new 12.3-inch infotainment touchscreen from the Nissan Armada, replacing the previous 8-inch unit. It includes wireless Apple CarPlay and wired Android auto connection, Nissan’s door-to-door navigation and Nissan Connect services.

Altima is offered in S, SV, SR, SL, and SR VC-Turbo FWD grades. These all come with FWD as standard, while SV, SR, and SL are also available with Intelligent AWD systems.

Depending on the trim, the Altima can be equipped with a 7-inch digital instrument cluster, Zero Gravity seat with optional leather upholstery, an 8-power adjustable driver’s seat, a wireless phone charging pad, a WiFi hotspot, and a nine-speaker boss. . Premium Audio System, Active Noise Cancellation and Amazon Alexa. The Safety Shield 360 Suite with the Basic ADAS System comes standard in all trim levels, while the more sophisticated Propelite Assist and Intelligent Around View Monitor are fitted with higher grades.

The Altima is still offered with a naturally ambitious 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine, or a 2.0-liter VC turbo four-cylinder engine. The previous FWD layout produced 188 hp (140 kW / 191 PS) and 180 lb-ft (244 Nm) of torque or 182 hp (135 kW / 184 PS) and 178 lb-ft (241 Nm) of torque in AWD. The more powerful and turbocharged engine is only available in the SR VC-Turbo FWD grade, producing 248 hp (182 kW / 251 PS) and 273 lb-ft (370 Nm) of torque.

Both engines are mated to an Xtronic CVT transmission that comes with a paddle shifter up to SR grade. While all Altima models come with independent suspension, the SR benefits from a sportier setup.

Sales of the 2023 Nissan Ultima will begin this fall in the United States. We expect my price to increase slightly compared to 2022.
