2024 BMW M3 CS Spiked A Four-Door M4 CSL, Can Have About 533 HP

The M5 CS debuted last year as “the fastest and most powerful production BMW car ever” and is about to get a smaller sibling in the form of the M3 CS.

Spying through tests in and around Nürburgring recently, the model will essentially be a four-door version of the M4 CSL.

The similarities are impossible to ignore because the spy photographers snatched the two models parked next to each other. As you can see, each has a modified grille that trades horizontal bars for bone-like structures. This is not the only change because the models have a prominent front splitter with Canard.

Going further back, we can see a carbon fiber roof, aerodynamic mirror and light wheels wrapped around the Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires. The latter is backed up by a high-performance braking system with a bronze caliper. Other highlights include a new rear spoiler and a carbon fiber diffuser.

Even if the rear windows are camouflaged, the M3 CS will probably not follow in the footsteps of the M4 CSL by removing the rear seats. However, the company may offer two separate rear seats as they did in the M5 CS.

Speaking of interiors, we can see that the front seat with carbon fiber shell comes with two-tone upholstery. The M3 CS will also be equipped with a curved display that includes a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a 14.9-inch infotainment system. Of course, this is not very surprising since BMW recently announced that the display will become standard equipment on the M3 and M4 this summer.

On the performance front, we can expect an upgraded twin-turbo 3.0-liter six-cylinder engine that produces around 533 hp (397 kW / 540 PS). Although this number should be taken with a grain of salt, it will be a big improvement over the M3 competition, which boasts of 503 hp (375 kW / 510 PS).
