Late last year, a small boutique company, Emilia Auto, announced plans to create a classic Alfa Romeo Restomod. Now, they have finalized the design and are displaying it in all its glory. In fact, they have already taken a few orders and started working on a prototype that includes a Giulia quadriphoglio powertrain under bodywork.
This gorgeous little creature is based on the Alpha Giulia GT Coupe of the 1960s and 1970s so it is fitting that a modern Giulia drivetrain inspired it. Clear from the renders, this resto mode has many small subtle signals that set it apart from the real car.
Drivetrain results in many changes and requires performance with this kind of power. For example, the total length of sports cars has been increased by 40 mm to allow clearance for large pairs of intercoolers feeding turbochargers.

Plenty of air in the front of the car is integral to keep both the powertrain and the braking system cool. Emilia Auto says large openings in the wheels contribute to brake-related temperature management. Of course, many details are intended to accentuate the original shapes.
The hood with its step nose is tied directly to the old alphas. At the same time, once you get into it, it won’t feel like an old car. Emilia plans to include an 8.8-inch infotainment system in the center console with air conditioning and modern LED headlights. The company will even add a backup camera for customers who like it.

It might be a car that at least ask so much price. At € 400,000 (equivalent to $ 429,900 on today’s exchange rate), you’ll have the opportunity to customize many parts. The color of the carpet, the color of the wheels, the color of the roll bar and the color of the headliner all depend on the owner. In addition, they can choose what type of dash material they prefer, what color brake caliper they prefer, and what type of sound system will be installed.
Obviously, the build slot is still open for delivery by the end of next year, so if you have a bunch of cash in your pocket, here’s a great way to spend it.
