Elon Rambo Musk says there will be “blood” as he seeks to prosecute Tesla chief

Nicolas Carlson, editor-in-chief of Business Insider, has sided with his team’s report after Elon Musk tweeted threatening threats to outlets that would file charges against him. The tweets, where Musk said “there will be blood”, followed reports that he had sexually harassed an employee.

Speaking to CNN Business, Carlson said the allegations met the standards of its outlets for “reliable sources”. The outlet reported on documents showing that Mask was charged in 2016 with exposing his penis to a flight attendant on a SpaceX corporate jet.

Carlson said Mask and company denied the allegations but did not refuse to pay $ 250,000 in an agreement with the flight attendant signed in 2018. He added that any story about a credible allegation of injustice by a very rich and powerful person is “like news in public.”

A day after the initial Business Insider report, Musk told the public that Tesla would “create a hardcore litigation department where we can initiate and execute lawsuits directly. The team will report directly to me.” He added that he was looking for a “hardcore street fighter” for the team and asked for applicants on Twitter.

James Park, a law professor at the University of California, Los Angeles, told Law.com that Musk’s tweets appear to be related to allegations of sexual misconduct.

“He is in a situation where either he is going to be a defendant, or he can be a plaintiff himself, and the person who is accusing him of this behavior can bring a defamation suit against him,” Park said.

The move could have the effect of creating a legal concept known as a “humanitarian kite” where news outlets and individuals are threatened with defamation action for intimidation and obstruction of public writing. Although the allegation has already been made public, the move could block other outlets from filing other allegations against Musk for fear of getting into a legal battle with one of the world’s richest men.

The allegations against Musk, however, appear to have had an impact on his vast wealth. According to Bloomberg’s Billionaires Index, the value of Musk’s personal assets has fallen by nearly $ 10.6 billion since the revelation of the alleged sexual misconduct. The recession was mainly due to its stake in Tesla, whose shares fell 10.8 percent last Friday, Gizmodo reported. However, the value of the mask is still estimated at over বিল 200 billion.
