How bad can cheap old luxury cars like BMW 7, Mercedes S and Lexus LX be

Old luxury cars are really cheap these days, there are lots of videos where people snatch them for penis and either retrieve them at great cost or beat them within an inch of their lives.

Now here’s a question from Carwow that nobody asks, which certainly sounds funny: “Why buy a Land Rover when an old luxury sedan is only 1,000?” The idea behind this is that a brand new off-road-capable machine is worth a lot of money, which probably prevents the owner from getting off the sidewalk for fear of loss.

However, a £ 1,000 ($ 1,200) luxury car is not something that many people want or care about anymore, so it is probably the best choice for a car that will bump and scratch once it hits the dirt.

The competitors are three certified Luxo-barges from Europe and Japan, the first being the 2001 BMW 735i powered by a 3.6-liter V8 with 270 horsepower. Another German competitor is a 2001 Mercedes-Benz S320 CDI with a Huiji 200 horsepower 3.2-liter diesel engine and finally a 2000 Lexus LS430 with a 280 horsepower 4.3-liter V8 from Japan.

Challenges run in a familiar fashion, leading to destruction in the name of actual data entertainment. Each car is rewarded with 0-3 points for how well it completes a challenge, judged by a host named Graham.

While it may seem that all vehicles will completely get the dirt out of their components, in reality, they all feature fairly sophisticated suspensions that perform quite well in a number of challenges. Perhaps with some lift and some more capable tires, there could be some confidence in the claim.

At the end of the test, the winner was obviously Lexus with 14 points compared to Mercedes with 14 points, and BMW with almost 10 points.

This is probably not a very useful piece of information, but it is definitely interesting to see a car that was originally driven by an investment banker hit from the beating track.
