Lynk & Co 03 has been on the market since 2018, so it was time for a styling update. The facelifted model has been leaked in China, showing a bold design change compared to its predecessor, especially on the front.
A document leaked on the website of China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology described the extensive facelift in detail before its official launch. The sedan retains the same body panel in profile, but looks quite different for the newly designed face and rear edges.

On the front, the new bumper tries hard to make it look sporty, with all the intakes connected to a single graphic. The face-like design contains the main LED beam, the underside of the split headlights, and a body-colored wing that separates the long grille from the underside. High-mounted DRLs are also slightly redesigned.
At the rear, the license plate has been moved to the rear bumper, which has got more prominent diffusers, dual oval tailpipes and large fox vents on the side. The taillights were already connected by a black strip but the number of LEDs has been increased, leaving less space for the characters in the link and co. In addition to the standard model (red), the photo features the Sportier 03+ variant (yellow with black roof). It comes with various alloy wheels and a fancier bodykit with a splitter, side seal add-on, an overstilled rear spoiler, a large diffuser and a quad exhaust pipe.

Documents reveal that Facelifted Lynk & Co 03 will be available in four different variants. The ICE-powered versions are fitted with a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine producing 215 hp (160 kW / 218 PS) in the entry-level model, 251 hp (187 kW / 254 PS) in the middle or above. 262 hp (195 kW / 265 PS) in performance-centric Lynk & Co 03 +.
There is also a hybrid version with a 1.5-liter three-cylinder engine and an electric motor, which reflects the Volvo siblings. Remember, Lynk & Co 03 is sharing compact modular architecture (CMA) with several models, including the recently facelifted Volvo XC40 and Geely KX11.
The facelifted Lynk & Co 03 will probably be unveiled next month, with sales in China set to begin soon.
