Mercedes-AMG E 63 S Farewell to Final Edition V8

As the next generation of the Mercedes-Benz E-Class continues to evolve, automaker has unveiled the final version of the Mercedes-AMG E63S4matic + Performance flagship. The special edition, available in both Saloon and Estate forms, will be limited to 999 units as part of the current generation E-Class and AMG’s twin-turbo V8, as the new model will replace it with a plug-in hybrid powertrain.

Apparently, the final version is a 20-inch AMG imitation wheel set, thanks to the exclusive matte graphite gray magno exterior shades combined with the profile’s special AMG badge and graphics and the AMG Night package. The latter includes a high-gloss black finish for front splitter, side seal insert, fender trim, windowline trim, mirror caps, rear diffuser and quad trapezoidal tailpipes. Optionally, buyers can choose Carbon Packages I and II, if they prefer carbon-fiber treatment.

When you open the door, you will be greeted by the AMG logo projected on the ground and the illuminated AMG brushed stainless steel door seal. AMG Performance Seat Package Titanium Gray Pearl / Black AMG Nappa provides extended support from heated and electrically adjustable seats with yellow contrasting stitching on the skin.

Nappa leather is also available in instrument clusters and beltlines, as well as a flat-bottom AMG performance steering wheel combined with Dynamica microfiber. The center console has plenty of carbon fiber and a dashboard over ambient light, as well as AMG-branded floor mats. Finally, a numbered AMG Final Edition badge on the center console indicates the limited nature of this particular edition.

No change under the bonnet, the twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 produces 603 hp (450 kW / 612 PS) and 850 Nm (627 lb-ft) of torque. Power is sent to all four wheels thanks to the rear-biased drift mode of the fully variable 4Matic +. Note that this is the last V8-powered e-class so it has a collectible status for AMG fans.

As mentioned above, the Mercedes-AMG will only produce 999 units of the E 63 S 4Matic + Final Edition and will offer a special AMG indoor car cover as a gift to the owners. The automaker has not announced a price, but we expect the final version to be a bit more expensive than the regular E 63 S due to the extra kits.
