Novitech demonstrates restraint with its new modified Lamborghini Huracan STO

How do you improve on near perfection? This is the question that Novetech’s people have been asking themselves about how to replace the already powerful Lamborghini Huracan STO. The answer they came up with was much more reserved and subtle than the other tuners in the space but it left room for a loud roar and more extreme styling.

In general, no major changes were made to the engine, programming or driveline, but that did not stop us from getting on this unique bull.

Two specific changes improve both the sound and appearance of the STO. To reduce vehicle speeds, Novitec incorporates sports springs in each of the four corners, which improves both aerodynamics and cornering capabilities. We think the offensive position is also interesting. Height-adjustable NOVITEC sport springs are available as an alternative to the magneto suspension, which reduces the ride height of the STO up to 30 mm.

In addition, a Novitech muffler system with a remote control flap has been installed to improve flow and create a sound that is unique to these custom supercars. No power numbers were reported but the stock STO produced 630 hp (470 kW) and 416 lb-ft (643 Nm) of torque. Interestingly, the exhaust can only be kept in quiet mode as soon as the car is running so don’t expect any subtle startups.

Most changes to the Huracan STO come in the form of trim and aerodynamics. Usually matte black all surfaces have been replaced with either gloss black or carbon fiber material. The upper and lower intake ports each feature a more extreme size with large inlets finished with carbon fiber.

Additionally, tailpipes are carbon fibers such as front splitter from nose to tail, while the final touch comes with 20- and 21-inch rims shod tire sizes 245/30 ZR 20 front and 325/25 ZR. 21 in the rear axle.

In this particular configuration, with the color black, it is one of the finest demonstrations of tuner restraint we have ever seen.

As of this writing, Novitec has not announced a specific price for the STO package or any of the options ala cart add-ons.
