The 2023 Genesis GV60 has started selling in the US and prices start at $ 58,890 and $ 1,090 destination fee before the incentive before the total $ 59,980.
Entry-level GV60 Advanced AWD, equipped with LED lighting unit, power retractable door handle, and a 20-inch alloy wheel. Buyers will also find rain sensing wipers, roof rails and power hands-free liftgates. They are connected by a panoramic glass roof and poodle lights that project the Genesis logo into the ground.
Since Genesis is a luxury brand, it’s not as surprising as taking the interior to the center. Once the heated and ventilated leather front seats, drivers will find themselves in a heated steering wheel and a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster.
Speaking of displays, the crossover is equipped with a head-up display and GPS navigation, as well as a 12.3-inch infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay compatibility. Other technical features include a wireless smartphone charger and a proximity key with a push button ignition.

However, the best features of the GV60 are facial recognition technology and a fingerprint authentication system. Ex-owners can recognize them as they approach, so the doors can be unlocked automatically when they get in the car. Once inside, the fingerprint authentication system enables them to launch the GV60 without a key.
Technology aside, the crossover features a dual-zone climate control system, aluminum trim, ambient lighting and a Bang & Olufsen premium audio system. Designers have installed a leather-wrapping instrument panel, an auto-dimming rearview mirror with homelink, rear sunshade and a cargo cover.
On the safety front, there is an assortment of driver assistance systems, including Highway Driving Assist, Smart Cruise Control with stop and go, and forward collision avoidance assistance. They are joined by Lane Keeping Assist, Lane Following Assist and Blind-Spot Coalition-Avoidance Assist.
This is just the tip of the iceberg because the model has a blind-spot view monitor, an surround view monitor and rear cross-traffic collision-avoidance support. Other safety features include High Beam Assist, Intelligent Speed Limit Assist, Parking Distance Warning and Parking Collision-Avoidance Assist. Highlights include Remote Smart Parking Assist, Advanced Rear Occupant Alert, Safe Exit Assist and a rearview camera with dynamic guidance.
Power is provided by a 77.4 kWh battery pack that feeds a dual-motor all-wheel drive system. Next is a 99 hp (74 kW / 101 PS) electric motor on the front and a 215 hp (160 kW / 218 PS) electric motor on the back. This setup gives the crossover a combined output of 314 hp (234 kW / 318 PS) and 248 miles (399 km).
GV60 Performance AWD Pack 483 HP, starting at $ 67,890
While the entry-level model is nicely equipped, the GV60 Performance AWD is available. It starts at $ 67,890 and features an upgraded dual-motor all-wheel drive system that features 215 hp (160 kW / 218 PS) developing front and rear electric motors. This gives the crossover a combined output of 429 hp (320 kW / 435 PS), although a boost mode temporarily increases the output to 483 hp (360 kW / 490 PS). Unfortunately, extra performance comes at a cost because the range falls at 235 miles (378 km).
Adhering to the performance theme, the upgrades extend beyond the powertrain as the crossover is equipped with electronically controlled suspension, an electronic limited slip differential and monoblock front brakes. The model rides a large 21-inch alloy wheel.
The interior changes are decent, but buyers will find additional equipment including Napa leather upholstery, heated rear seats and an “Ergo Motion” messaging driver’s seat. Other highlights include an alloy paddle, a microfiber suede headliner and the Genesis Digital Key2. Users use the Ultra Wideband technology to automatically unlock the car when the owner’s compatible Apple iPhone, Apple Watch or Samsung Galaxy device is approached.
To help owners get the most out of their EVs, Genesis Electrify has partnered with America to offer a complimentary charging session of 30 minutes for three years from the date of purchase. Genesis also mentioned that all 2023 models, including the GV60, will come with a lifetime subscription to Connected Care. It provides automatic collision notification, improved roadside assistance and emergency assistance.
Although the GV60 has begun selling in the United States, customers will have a hard time getting one because the model is primarily “available to select Genesis retailers in California, Connecticut, New Jersey and New York.” This is a bit annoying and customers are being asked to contact their local dealership about availability.
