The next generation Hyundai Kona has been given speed testing, giving us a new look in its design.
Although the prototype is covered in camouflage and body cladding, it reveals a bit more than the 2024 corner that our spy photographers snapped in late April. The front end is the same as the Hyundai Starr, thanks to a full-width LED light bar.
We can also see that Hyundai has modified the design of the front bumper, reshaped the grille and created a triangular air intake. The design of the headlights has also been changed and they are more angular in shape.

The camouflage hides most of the details of the other designs in the new corner. The rear fascia appears to be similar in shape to the outward model, similarly সম্পূর্ণ complete with high tailgate and small rear windows. It features a split LED taillight design game.
Earlier spy photos from 2024 Corner revealed that the interior would be redesigned and inspired by the all-electric Ioniq 5. The most obvious changes would be the digital instrument cluster and the infotainment display on a single large screen. There will be easy air vents located directly below these screens while below them there will be a start / stop button and various buttons for media control. A new steering wheel will also be featured.
The details of the powertrain remain unclear. That being said, it’s possible that the new Kona 2023 will be available with the same hybridized 1.6-liter as the Kia Niro, which pumps 139 hp and 195 lb-ft (264 Nm) of torque. Using a 64.8 kWh battery pack and a 201 hp electric motor, a new Kona EV can borrow its powertrain from the Niro EV, while a new performance-centric Kona N is also expected.
