The 682 HP Cadillac Escalade-V is the ultimate American SUV

Just as ridiculous as the Cadillac Escalade-V SUV, and just weeks after its unveiling, the carmaker has released a new ad for it, called ‘B Iconic’.

The video features not only Escalade-V, but also Dominican music producer Maffeo. While the clip doesn’t tell us anything about the Escalade-V we didn’t already know, it does include some dramatic driving footage of the SUV.

While Cadillac has ambitious electric car plans, that doesn’t mean it’s still abandoning internal combustion engines. In fact, the Escalade-V CT5-V uses a 6.2-liter supercharged V8 very similar to the Blackwing though equipped with a larger 2.65-liter supercharger with a 10 pound boost. All in all, this Escalade is good for 682 hp and 653 lb-ft (885 Nm) of torque, which makes it the most powerful Cadillac ever and allows it to hit 110 miles at a speed of 60 mph (96 km / h) in 4.4 seconds and quarter-miles. 12.74 seconds per hour.

Other significant changes have been made in the final version of Escalade. For example, it features the brand’s fourth generation magnetic ride control damper and air ride adaptive suspension. The Cadillac has equipped the Escalade-V with a tougher rear spring than the front springs. A 10-speed automatic transmission connected to the engine transmits power through four wheels.

It’s not just the extreme powertrain that sets the Escalade-VK apart from the standard model. The SUV has a number of interesting exterior changes, including a new black grille, distinctive 22-inch wheels, red Brambo brake caliper and modified front and rear bumpers.

The Cadillac Escalade-V will sell in both standard and ESV long-wheelbase gauges starting at 149,990.
