A few months after seeing the first picture of the fully electric Nezha S, the Tesla competitor has officially launched in the Chinese market. The company has announced the price and details of the standard EV, along with a newly announced “Yaoshi” sporting scissor door.
Starting with the specification, Nezha S is based on Hozon’s “Shanhai” architecture, allowing it to be offered in a fully electric (BEV) range-extender (EREV) variant.

The AWD model is fitted with a dual electric motor that produces a combined 456 hp (340 kW / 462 PS) that allows it to accelerate from 0-100 km / h (0-62 mph) in 3.9 seconds and reach a limited maximum speed of 170. Km / h (106 miles per hour). Although battery power has not been announced, Neza says it offers a driving range of 650 kilometers (404 miles) under the CLTC cycle.
As reported by Car News China, in the future, the Neza S will be available in RWD format with a single electric motor with a light warm 0-100 km / h (0-62 mph) acceleration of 6.9 seconds and a long CLTC. Driving range 715 km (444 miles). Further down the road, a range-extender variant will be added to the lineup that will offer the best range at 1,100 km (684 miles).
Fancy a pair of lambo-style doors for your Chinese electric sedan?
We’ve already covered the smooth design of the Nezha S, but the EV has a big footprint that we initially thought of. In fact, it is 4,980 mm (196 inches) long, 1,980 mm (78 inches) wide and 1,450 mm (57.1 inches) long, with a wheelbase of 2,980 mm (117.3 inches). These figures make it as tall as the Tesla Model S and slightly longer than a Mercedes-Benz EQE. Also, the aerodynamic silhouette brings a CD value of 0.216.
The EVT will launch with a special version called “Yaoshi” which will be produced in 999 units. The biggest highlight of the Neza S Yaoshi is the addition of scissor doors, which is not the case with the standard Neza S. In addition to the lambo-style doors, the limited run model has a new alloy wheel design finished in black with green brakes. Caliper buyers can choose from three exterior shades – Magic Night Black, Extreme Night Green and Rushing Silver.
Standard equipment includes an LED light, a panoramic sunroof, a 13.3-inch digital instrument cluster, a huge 17.6-inch 2K infotainment touchscreen, a third 12.3-inch screen for front passengers, a head-up display and a 21-speaker speaker. Including 1,216 watts. The Safety Kit is also generous, with five millimeter-wave radar and eleven cameras, two LiDAR sensors will be added to the next variant of the model (we thought they were not available at the moment due to production shortages). Nezha’s goal is to provide Level 4 autonomy, which can be achieved through future OTA updates.
The Nezha S Yaoshi is already available for pre-order in China, starting at ¥ 338,800 ($ 50,751). The first delivery is expected in July. Owners will receive 2,000 kWh of free power per year to charge their EVs using Nezha’s network.
