The Wild Project Maybach x Virgil Abloh concept, which premiered in December, is one of the more bizarre ideas introduced in the last 12 months. In the photo, it makes a bold statement but its design in the flesh is even more eye-catching.
Recently shot on YouTuber Mr. Benz, Project Mebach was designed by Gordon Wagner and fashion designer Virgil Ablo. It’s an all-electric, off-road-based coupe that won’t make a production model but will remain severely quiet.
The concept bears little resemblance to the pre-existing Mercedes-Benz model. In fact, thanks to the front fascia, illuminated grille, round LED headlights and prominent horizontal LED strip, it makes it look a bit like the Rolls-Royce of the future.

Favorite corner side of our car. From the side, you can see the unique wheels worn on the absolutely huge BF Goodrich mud-terrain tires that will ensure that the concept can actually take you on some serious off-road trails. The side view also reveals the glass canopy and roof, which is ineffective with the traditional pillars, creating an exceptionally smooth design.
The back of the concept is probably the simplest area of its design and has a pair of LED taillights that incorporate a Maybach logo.
The Mercedes-Maybach even had trouble creating a complete interior for the car, although many ideas didn’t even have an interior. The cabin is dominated by sand-colored leather and a pair of seats that can fold the entire plane. Other highlights of the cabin include a digital instrument cluster mounted in the center of the dashboard. There is also a unique steering wheel and an ice box to keep drinks cool
