Coming as the return of the microbus in electric form, the hype surrounding Volkswagen’s new ID. The buzz was naturally quite significant. That being said, most agreed that the right price to pay for VW’s success. Now, the automaker has just announced the price for the car in the German market, so that consumers can finally decide for themselves.
Regular, five-seat ID. Buzz starts at € 64,581 ($ 67,684) and will initially only be offered on Pro Trim. For that money, you’ll get an 82 kWh (77 kWh) battery that allows the rear electric motor to output 201 hp (204 PS / 150 kW) and 229 lb-ft (310 Nm) of torque. The range of this model, estimated by the WLTP cycle, is 424 km (261 miles), which is not too bad considering the shape of the vehicle is more or less a round block. Additionally, a DC fast-charging station can recharge the battery 5 to 80 percent in about 30 minutes.

Stolen ID. Buzz Cargo starts at € 54,430 ($ 57,049), or about k 10k less than the passenger version. It has the same powertrain with the same space as the passenger van, but the limit is slightly higher at 424 km (263 miles), probably due to the lower weight due to seat removal. The standard equipment for both models starts with a complete suite of driver support systems, which includes features like Car2X, Surov support, automatic braking, lane-keep assist, dynamic road sign display and park distance support. The vehicles come with a 5.3-inch digital gauge cluster and a 10.3-inch infotainment system, as well as Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Optional equipment includes design packages that provide upgraded exterior lighting, comfort packages that add extra interior functionality, as well as a variety of packages for things like keyless entry, extra driver support, navigation and an upgraded sound system.
