As the car gets bigger and bigger the Audi RS3 runs fairly compact on paper and incredibly bumpy. Beneath the hood is Audi’s great sounding turbocharged five-cylinder engine that is good for 401 hp (299 kW / 406 PS) and 369 pound-feet (500 Nm) of torque which allows it to hit 60mph (96 km / h) in 4 seconds.
As you read these lines, we’re getting some quality time behind the wheel of the North American Specification 2022 RS3 in Nevada, both road and track, and we were wondering what you want to know about it.
Audi has already revealed some information about its latest Hi-Po small sedan that it hopes will be a huge killer for some people. When it hits the showroom this summer, it will start at $ 59,095 before considering other things like dealer markup and it will only come in one trim. Of course, there are many options available but most of them are either black or green.

For example, a black optic package costs $ 750 and includes a black Y-spoke wheel, a black roof and black badges. Customers can choose from three stitching colors including black, green and red. If you want more color in the cabin, you better expect that you like the green itself.
A special “RS Design Package Green” costs $ 1,500 and it adds a bunch of Micromata Green to the cabin for seats, seat belts, air vents and more. The most expensive option is a $ 5,500 Dynamic Plus package that includes a ceramic front brake, a 180-mph speed limiter (above 155), and a carbon engine cover.
Honestly, we’re not sure if the options are important in a car that already seems to come with a great base package. In addition to the excellent power on the tap, this item has a bunch of track and performance-centric equipment that includes real torque vectoring via its differential and drift modes.
Audi’s main competitors are the BMW M2 (although it has two lower doors), which is likely to get more power from the RS3 and Mercedes-AMG CLA45 for the 2023 model year, producing 382-hp. It will be interesting to see how the three compare in terms of driving dynamics that cannot be measured on paper.
